Mahjalin Araiza Diez is a clinical psychologist, psychometrician, and educator dedicated to making mental health more accessible and meaningful. She ranked in the Top 5 in the board exam for psychologists—a testament to her deep understanding of the field and commitment to excellence.
As a clinical psychologist, she provides compassionate and evidence-based support to individuals navigating emotional challenges. She has also been a well-loved college professor, known for her engaging teaching style and ability to connect with students on a personal level.
For her dissertation, Mahjalin developed the MAPANATAG Program (Mindful Attunement-Based Parenting Approach to Nurture, Alleviate, Teach, Advocate, and Guide), a culturally sensitive, needs-based parenting intervention for first-time Filipino parents with a history of childhood emotional maltreatment. The program empowers parents to become nurturing, confident caregivers, helping them overcome self-doubt and ultimately feel mapanatag—reassured and at peace.
Rooted in the same advocacy, Mahjalin founded Kasama MH & Psychosocial Services, a community-based clinic that offers inclusive and compassionate mental health support for individuals and families.
