Rui is motivated by solving real problems that make people’s work smoother and more secure. He enjoys working through complex IT areas like cloud, identity, networking, and endpoints, and turning them into solutions that are reliable, scalable, and easy for users to work with.
Rui Barata started his career in telecommunications as a shop sales advisor, supporting customers and selling products. He later moved into the corporate offices of PT Comunicações, where he supported the internal customer service team on the technical side. This is where he discovered his strength in connecting technical teams with customer-facing roles.
To build on this, Rui completed a course in Networks and Administrative Systems. During his internship, he joined the IT team of an HR company and has been there ever since. Over the years, he has supported multiple businesses, helping IT teams work more effectively and deliver better outcomes.

Outside of work, Rui is very active. He is a CrossFit enthusiast and enjoys football with friends, surf sessions, or anything that keeps him moving. He loves traveling and discovering new places, whether around the world or closer to home in what he likes to call his little Portugal. He has a favorite spot, but for Rui, what matters most is being with the people he loves. Wherever that is feels special to him.
