Emre believes a programme only earns its keep when people can see it, trust it and act on it. That belief started on light rail projects in North Africa, where he built map-based visual progress reports from scratch. Today it shapes his data centre work: finding where the supply chain hides risk, interrogating it with data, and presenting it clearly enough that clients act early.
He builds things to outlast his involvement. He has turned recurring problems into tools, products and service lines. He has developed people who now lead client accounts of their own. He is also pushing the sector towards automation and AI, so that controls teams spend less time producing reports and more time changing outcomes.
Emre leads Laminar’s Data Centres sector, one of the firm’s largest and fastest-growing markets. Working alongside Laminar’s engagement directors and regional leads, he helps the sector grow and keeps delivery consistent across its engagements in the Nordics, wider EMEA and North America. He oversees the sector’s performance and pipeline. He also develops the planners and project controllers who serve its clients, from hyperscalers and developers to main contractors and specialist subcontractors.
He brings deep knowledge of how data centre programmes are sequenced and delivered, helping clients set realistic schedules and act on risk early. In addition, he leads Laminar’s Visual Planning discipline, bringing 4D and visual planning to data centre and wider construction programmes.
He was owner-side planning and project controls lead on a 100MW data centre campus in London. He kept the programme on track through a main contractor insolvency and delivered the first Ready for Service milestone on time. He created BOOST, Laminar’s productised Power BI reporting suite, and leads the team behind it. He is one of Laminar’s AI champions and speaks regularly at Project Controls Expo in Dubai and London.
Before joining Laminar in 2021, Emre worked with Yapı Merkezi and Alstom on two light rail projects in Algeria and Qatar. He held senior planning, project controls and risk roles. On the Doha project he also led claims pricing and negotiation. The visual progress reporting he developed was later deployed on projects in the UAE and Egypt. In 2020 he lectured on project risk management at a university in Qatar.
