Jay is enthusiastic about self-development and is continuously looking for ways to develop on a personal and professional level, implementing a raw determination for self-teaching and absorbing experiences and knowledge from the distinguished colleagues he is surrounded by. Jay hopes to develop into a chartered Building Services Engineer focusing on sustainability, and to implement this with precise project planning to positively impact the construction industry and create a brighter future for the next generations.
From the City of Bradford in England, Jay has spent two years working within site-based roles at the start of his career both within the UK and overseas in Australia. Prior to joining Laminar, he had spent three and a half years working for a big Engineering Consultancy, designing Mechanical Building Services systems on different projects from prisons, process manufacturing facilities and laboratories.
He also played a role in the design and BIM delivery of the mechanical services for the Clean Cow project in Scotland (to be built), a facility under construction to produce food additives for cattle that significantly reduces their associated CO2 production. Jay is currently in his 4th year of part time studies alongside full-time work.
