Lauren is a driven individual that prides herself on attention to detail but also loves to understand the bigger picture. She has an entrepreneurial spirit, looking for ways to grow and evolve businesses as well as herself and those around her. Others have relied on Lauren to ‘get stuff done’ and she prides herself on her communication skills. She is motivated by building relationships, identifying skills in others to create a successful team.
Born in Milton Keynes (home of concrete cows and roundabouts!) Lauren moved to Leicestershire, to secure a job and love, realising she didn’t want to become a Quantity Surveyor and pursued a career in Planning. Starting her Planning career on housing refurbishment projects in deprived areas of the East Midlands, she moved into the Power sector, then Rolling Stock and Civils & infrastructure. It’s been a mix!
Highlights of Lauren’s career so far have been working on the design of the Crossrail/Elisabeth Line Rolling Stock, being involved in some interesting delay claims and securing a partnership with a commercial organisation that led to winning multiple contracts and frameworks.
Lauren studied Quantity Surveying & Construction Commercial Management at Nottingham Trent University. Lauren has completed an APM Introductory Certificate and ILM Leadership Management Courses. She is also a Mental Health First Aider.
Lauren loves to travel with her favourite destinations to date being the Maldives and Croatia. She has a 6 year old daughter and 6 year old dog, Solomon who sleeps minimum 20hrs per day! During COVID lockdown alongside her husband, set up a rum distillery which her husband manages – happy to supply Thirsty Thursdays! Lauren danced from age 3-18 years and is soon to be dusting off her dance shoes to return to some adult classes!
