Originally from Romania, he studied civil engineering in Bucharest. After graduation, he moved to London seeking site experience, working with groundworks subcontractors. He started out as an assistant engineer and gradually took on more responsibility, eventually becoming a project manager. Seeking a wider perspective on the construction industry, he joined a main contractor and worked on data centre projects around Europe.
