Wen is driven by optimism and sees the world as full of opportunities waiting to be explored. Being a father of two, his instincts lead him to work and design ways for people to achieve great things together, and to do them better. Whilst achievements are meaningful, but the concept of impermanence reminds him that what truly matters is the journey, the connections built along the way, and the positive impact left behind.
He kicked off his career in engineering design but quickly found the cubicle too small for his curiosity. Four tough years in the desert, he met some of the greatest people in the construction business who taught him that no job is ever too small, the importance of finishing and showed how bad office decisions turn into onsite pain. From there, he packed his bags for Europe and spent the next decade in The Hague, London, and Stockholm with CB&I, McDermott, and Northvolt across multiple leadership positions in Project Controls before moving back to Australia.
